Schmitz Cargobull brings the S.KOe COOL to the UK & Ireland Schmitz Cargobull has introduced the S.KOe COOL, an all-electric box body semi-trailer, to the UK and Ireland markets.

  • The S.KOe COOL features a fully electric S.CU ep85 cooling unit, a battery system, and an electric generator axle, ensuring 100% emissions-free operation. This innovation is especially beneficial for urban deliveries due to its quiet operation.

  • The launch event took place at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham, where the S.KOe COOL was showcased alongside other products suitable for the retail sector.

  • Schmitz Cargobull has already achieved overall vehicle type approval for the S.KOe COOL from the German Federal Motor Transport Authority, marking it as the first manufacturer to gain such approval for a fully electric refrigerated semi-trailer with an e-axle. (link)

ICL expands cold chain capabilities in collaboration with FreshLinc International Cargo Logistics (ICL), a forwarder headquartered in London, has broadened its cold chain logistics services by partnering with FreshLinc, a specialist in temperature-controlled supply chain solutions.

  • This collaboration extends their existing sea freight container transport relationship to now encompass airfreight services, with a particular emphasis on the final-mile delivery across the UK.
