CIM Group sells 139,502 sq. ft. cold storage warehouse in Fort Worth CIM Group announced the sale of a 139,502 sq. ft. cold storage warehouse facility located in Fort Worth, Texas.

  • This warehouse, which CIM Group recently completed, is situated on approximately 14.42 acres. The property was acquired by CIM in 2020 as part of its purchase of the adjacent 1,128,162 sq. ft. Junction 20/35 logistics center, which CIM continues to own and operate.

  • The cold storage warehouse is designed with modern features to meet the demands of the growing logistics industry, including 36' clear ceiling heights, 36 dock-high doors conducive to temperature-controlled storage, 43 trailer storage spaces, and 106 automobile parking spaces.

  • Located at the nexus of Interstate 20 and Interstate 35, the facility offers excellent access to other areas of Texas and the Southern United States, as well as proximity to three airports and major rail transportation and intermodal facilities.

Inceptio autonomous driving system increasingly adopted by cold-chain logistics providers across China Inceptio Technology, a prominent developer of autonomous driving technologies for heavy-duty trucks in China, has seen a growing adoption of its solutions by cold-chain logistics providers to enhance cost savings and operational efficiency.

  • Shandong Deshun Cold Chain Logistics, a key customer of Inceptio, has been utilizing the Inceptio Autonomous Driving System on long-haul routes since August 2023.

  • The deployment of Inceptio's technology has allowed Deshun Logistics to reduce the number of drivers needed for 1,000-kilometer trips from two to one, leading to significant savings.

  • The autonomous trucks are equipped with safety features such as effective alerts and alarms to prevent accidents, which also contribute to lower insurance premiums for the company.

  • Inceptio's short video showcases the successful implementation of its autonomous trucks within Deshun Logistics' network, highlighting the system's ability to make sound decisions, change lanes, and avoid obstacles autonomously. (link)

Thermo King expands product portfolio with BlueSeal Air Curtains by Brightec Thermo King, a leader in transport temperature control solutions and a brand under Trane Technologies, announced a partnership with Brightec, a European leader in air curtains for temperature-controlled transportation.

  • This collaboration marks the exclusive distribution of Brightec's BlueSeal air curtains in the United States and Canada by Thermo King.

  • BlueSeal air curtains are designed to create an invisible climate barrier during door openings, effectively maintaining temperature control and preventing the infiltration of dust, insects, and outside air into sensitive cargo areas like those containing food or pharmaceuticals.

  • This technology aligns with Thermo King's commitment to sustainable solutions, offering an energy-efficient addition to their cold chain solutions portfolio.

  • The partnership is celebrated by both parties, with Brightec expressing enthusiasm about joining Thermo King's offerings and Thermo King highlighting the integration of BlueSeal air curtains with their existing transport refrigeration technology. (link)
