Green leasing solution launched for refrigerated transport SeaCube and Greensee have partnered to offer green reefer leases featuring AI-powered emissions reporting.
The initiative addresses the high energy consumption of refrigerated containers, which use 20-30% of a vessel's power despite occupying only 10% of container capacity.
The program includes containers with advanced controllers and telematics, offering up to 20% emissions reduction through real-time analytics.
Additionally, SeaCube is collaborating with Thermo King and CMA CGM to test the E-COOLPAC electric genset for last-mile refrigerated transport.
This zero-emission battery system provides 35-105kWh power capacity, can be retrofitted to existing chassis, and is compatible with renewable energy charging. (link)
