CubeCold bolsters Spanish logistics capabilities with Alfrisan and Alguazas acquisition CubeCold, leading European cold storage and logistics provider, has acquired Almacenes Frigoríficos San Isidro and Alguazas Frío SA, strengthening its presence in Spain's key agricultural regions of Murcia and Alicante.

  • The acquisition adds over 26,000 pallet positions and more than 20 years of expertise serving the fruit, fruit concentrate, and vegetable industries.

  • The deal expands CubeCold's geographic coverage across the Iberian Peninsula, particularly in Spain's Levante region, enhancing capacity for both producers and top-tier retailers.

Lineage strengthens strategic footprint in Canada with acquisitions and expansions Lineage, Inc. (NASDAQ: LINE), the world's largest temperature-controlled warehouse REIT, has significantly expanded its Canadian operations through strategic acquisitions and facility expansions.

  • The company acquired three cold storage facilities in Quebec - two in Sainte-Brigide-d'Iberville and one in Laval - both strategically positioned near Montreal.

  • These acquisitions expand Lineage's Canadian presence to over 30 facilities.

  • Additionally, the company is expanding three existing sites: Côte de Liesse in Montreal, Foothills in Calgary, and Vaughan in Ontario to serve the Toronto market.

  • Combined, these acquisitions and expansions will add over 13 million cubic feet and 68,335 pallet positions to Lineage's Canadian footprint by mid-2026.(Lineage)

Snowman Logistics expands network with two new temperature-controlled warehouses in Kolkata and Krishnapatnam Snowman Logistics Limited, India's leading integrated temperature-controlled logistics provider, has announced the completion and commencement of operations of two new cold storage warehouses in Kolkata and Krishnapatnam.

  • The Kolkata facility has a capacity of 5,630 pallets, and the Krishnapatnam facility has a capacity of 3,927 pallets, bringing the total capacity of the company to 150,754 pallets, spread across 43 warehouses in 20 cities.

  • These new facilities are equipped with cutting-edge technology incorporating automation to increase operational efficiency, and will cater to a wide range of industries, including seafood, ice cream, dairy products, ready-to-eat meals, quick service restaurant items, confectionery, bakery products, fruits and vegetables, and pharmaceuticals.

Aenova expands cold chain capabilities with new warehouse Aenova, a global contract development and manufacturing organization, is investing in a new cold chain warehouse at its sterile manufacturing site in Latina, Italy, representing a significant expansion of its integrated supply chain capabilities for biologics and temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals.

  • The 6,500 cubic meter facility will provide 1,300 pallet spaces plus an additional 100 spaces for packing and shipping operations.

  • Construction began earlier this year, with full operational readiness expected by Q1 2026. The warehouse maintains a controlled 2-8°C temperature range, continuously monitored via SCADA systems to ensure cGMP compliance.

Port Laredo secures its role as North America's cold chain powerhouse Port Laredo has established itself as North America's premier cold chain logistics hub, processing over 1,000 refrigerated truckloads monthly across the US-Mexico border.

  • The port operates three temperature-controlled inspection facilities that allow trucks to dock directly into climate-regulated bays, maintaining unbroken cold chains during inspections, without exposure to external temperatures.

  • Kent Richard, a senior Port Laredo official, emphasized that maintaining cold chain integrity is "an economic and public health imperative" for goods including fresh produce, pharmaceuticals, seafood, and vaccines.
