Nordic Cold Chain Solutions launches specialized GLP-1 medication packaging Nordic Cold Chain Solutions has launched the Nordic Express Pack, the first cold chain packaging solution specifically designed and tested for shipping GLP-1 medications.

  • These diabetes and weight-loss drugs require precise temperature control to maintain therapeutic efficacy and regulatory compliance during shipping.

  • The Nordic Express Pack addresses the challenges faced by specialty pharmacies and healthcare distributors dealing with rising demand and high daily order volumes for GLP-1 medications.

  • Unlike generic cold chain mailers, this solution was purpose-built for GLP-1 therapies, offering faster packing and easier storage capabilities.

  • Integrated temperature indicators provide color-change verification of any temperature excursions, ensuring product integrity and compliance during transit.

  • The solution has undergone rigorous testing in ISTA-certified laboratories, demonstrating proven performance in real-world hot lane simulations and seasonal extremes, making it a reliable choice for critical medication transport. (Business Wire)

Divert and United States Cold Storage partner to convert food waste into renewable energy Divert, Inc., a circular economy company focused on preventing food waste, has announced a strategic collaboration with United States Cold Storage, a leading provider of public refrigerated warehousing and logistics.

  • The partnership creates an innovative recycling program that transforms unsold and non-donatable food and beverage products into renewable energy and soil amendments.

  • Under this program, food waste from USCS's California locations is processed at Divert's Integrated Diversion & Energy Facility in Turlock, California.

  • The facility uses proprietary depackaging and anaerobic digestion solutions to convert the material into carbon-negative renewable energy and nutrient-rich soil amendments, preventing harmful greenhouse gas emissions from landfill disposal.

  • The program improves supply chain efficiencies, reduces carbon footprint, and supports both companies' sustainability objectives while creating positive ESG outcomes for the cold storage industry. (Business Wire)
