CubeCold strengthens Italian network with SG acquisition CubeCold, a leading European provider of cold storage and logistics solutions, has acquired SG, an established cold storage operator in Northern Italy, to expand its Italian market presence.
The strategic acquisition enhances CubeCold's footprint in Italy's key logistics hub, with SG's facility offering 10,000 pallet positions and significant expansion potential.
Located in the Alessandria region connecting Milan and the Port of Genoa, SG has served food retailers since 1984 with temperature-controlled warehousing and integrated logistics services.
CubeCold will maintain SG's existing service model while integrating it into their broader European cold chain network.
The acquisition supports CubeCold's pan-European expansion strategy, strengthening its capabilities to serve national food retailers and build high-performance cold storage assets across the region.
CubeCold currently operates approximately 485,000 pallet spaces across 27 locations in Benelux, UK, Spain, and Italy, with plans for continued organic and acquisition-driven growth. (CubeCold)

Lineage opens new cold storage facility in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand Lineage, Inc. (NASDAQ: LINE) has officially opened a new cold storage facility in New Zealand's Hawke's Bay region.
Located at Whakatu Industrial Park in Napier, the facility adds 5,500 pallet positions to Lineage's existing regional campus.
The strategically positioned facility features multi-temperature storage capabilities and meets international food safety standards, designed primarily to serve ZIWI, a leading pet food company.
Lineage celebrated the opening with customer events attended by food producers, exporters, project partners, local government representatives, and hapū representatives.
Brooke Miller, Lineage's Asia Pacific President, emphasized the facility's role in strengthening supply chain resilience and supporting New Zealand's position as a global food exporter. (Lineage)
Realterm completes temperature-controlled logistics acquisition in Netherlands Realterm, a global transportation-focused logistics real estate specialist, has acquired two temperature-controlled facilities in Bleiswijk, Netherlands—Klappolder 2 and Klappolder 140-142.
The properties total 17,913 sq m across a 29,469 sq m site, featuring 32 dock doors.
Strategically located in the Dutch Randstad area, the facilities provide access to 6.5 million people within an hour's drive and offer superior connectivity to all major Dutch cities.
Both properties are fully leased to D-Logistiek, which handles logistics operations for Dirk Supermarkets, serving as critical final-mile distribution points for the grocery retailer's cold chain network.
The acquisition strengthens Realterm's European portfolio, with the Netherlands becoming a cornerstone market for the firm.
Realterm currently manages over 430 investments totalling more than $12 billion in assets under management globally, focusing on differentiated real estate and infrastructure assets serving transportation networks worldwide. (Realterm)
DHL opens dual-certified cold chain facility in Malaysia DHL Global Forwarding has opened a dual-certified cold chain facility at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, becoming the first forwarder to offer such capabilities at the location.
The 38,000 sq ft facility features dual-temperature storage capabilities for 15–25°C and 2–8°C products.
The facility holds both DHL Air GxP certification (based on WHO standards) and IATA CEIV Pharma certification, ensuring compliance for temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical shipments.
It includes dedicated cold rooms with capacity for 105 EU pallets, secure cages with 24/7 surveillance, and a fully automated environment monitoring system.
Located strategically in Malaysia's Free Commercial Zone, the facility supports the region's growing pharmaceutical logistics market. (DHL)
OneAdvanced and Moran logistics announce strategic partnership OneAdvanced has formed a strategic partnership with Moran Logistics, a multi-temperature controlled transport and warehousing specialist, to implement comprehensive workforce management software solutions.
Established in 2006 by Harry Moran, the family-run business operates 24/7 services providing storage, picking, loading, and delivery of chilled, ambient, and frozen food products.
Moran Logistics serves major UK supermarket chains including Iceland, Tesco, Sainsbury's, and Waitrose, achieving £71.8 million revenue in 2024.
The partnership will see Moran Logistics adopting OneAdvanced's HR Management System, Time and Attendance Software, Payroll System, and Eploy Applicant Tracking solutions.
These tools aim to streamline processes and provide insights for better decision-making and sustainable growth.
